Hopefully I get to the re-read soon especially since there's a new HP story coming out, apparently. Haven't read the Divergent series yet, from what I hear I'm afraid it may not be worth my while. I'm excited about The Night Gardener, and looking forward to finding it in our libraries.GatheringBookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04477710897574769648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1636018400386592533.post-83330355272650562382014-07-09T12:27:15.756-05:002014-07-09T12:27:15.756-05:00I have set Night Gardener aside until August so I ...I have set Night Gardener aside until August so I will have it fresh in my mind before our book club chat. I enjoyed Divergent and have Allegient when I get around to listening it. The Night Gardener is on my to read list. I look forward to reading your reflections on it. I know what you mean about Insurgent. I read the trilogy but by the time I got to the third book, I wasn't all that impressed. I think there are so many other dystopian/adventures that are so much better - like the Legend trilogy and The Lunar Chronicles. But my students loved the series and are waiting for the movie with much excitement. And, I grew impatient with Tris, too. She is no Katniss Everdeen, that's for sure - and I didn't bother to finish Insurgent. Interestingly, my students feel the same way, and many were disappointed by books 2 and 3.
